The BWE 2008 was beyond hot!
At this moment, I’m bumpin’ my makeshift Jadakiss mixtape. It’s a combo of Champ Is Here plus about 10 other tracks from the 150 other tapes dropped by dude since ‘05. Hey, what can I say? Until the kid drops his Def jam/Roc debut, this’ll have to do.
Anyway, now that I’ve had a minute to catch my breath, I just wanted to share a few thoughts from the 2008 Blog World Expo…

First off, it was in Las Vegas. Outside of Cali, I can’t think of a better locale for a business conference in the fall than Vegas. (That is, assuming you don’t mind the 100 degree desert heat. Thank goodness for the convention center's AC.)

Secondly the BWE crew brought in some of everybody imaginable in the web space. I’m talking Steve Rubel and Guy Kawasaki…. Six Apart and Buzz Logic… Blog Talk Radio and Fast Company… Comcast, PR Web and Twitter. Facebook and… well, just go to BWE’s homepage for the full listing. There over a 100 major sponsors there. It was 3 days of jam-packed movers and influencers in the digital space.
Now, the BWE's in its 2nd year and this was my first there—as a speaker and a session mod, no less! There were plenty of goodies to be had; including:
Maker's Mark. They were one of the many sponsors. Booze and Bloggers—the perfect combo! he-he-he...
By the way, i must apologize for the crappy video--i shot with what was in my pocket--one of those little baby cameras that only cost like $100 and $100 video looks like $100 video, until further notice.
Here's a little video another guy shot. the sound quality on his is a bit better:
So that's just a taste of the place. i'll share more in a minute.
